Dedicated to promoting and regulating traditional medical practices in Zimbabwe.
Established by the Traditional Medical Practitioners Act, we have been at the forefront of advocating for the recognition and integration of traditional healers within the healthcare system. Our council comprises experienced practitioners who utilize indigenous knowledge and techniques to provide holistic healthcare to communities.
Traditional medicine plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, especially in rural areas where access to modern medical facilities can be limited. Our practitioners are skilled in various treatments, including herbal medicine, spiritual healing, and other traditional practices that have been passed down through generations.
Our mission is to ensure that traditional medical practices are safe, effective, and accessible to all Zimbabweans. We aim to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medicine, fostering collaboration to enhance patient care and uphold the integrity of traditional healing practices.
